Practice Emphasis
Lisa Athens is a partner in the firm, representing clients in the management, resolution and avoidance of disputes. Her experience includes business and commercial litigation, tort litigation, business law and health law. Ms. Athens works with her clients to help them avoid litigation through effective risk management with employee matters, vendor relationships, business contracts and other situations to reduce liability and exposure. In the event of disputes, Ms. Athens manages the litigation for corporations, professional associations and individuals, from Fortune 100 companies to small private companies.
Ms. Athens represents clients in the manufacturing, transportation, health care, retail, insurance, and utility industries before State and Federal District Courts in Texas. She has extensive experience representing various organizations, including profit, not-for-profit, insured and self-insured on a myriad of issues. Ms. Athens' broad understanding of such a wide range of legal issues faced by businesses and institutions is a benefit to her clients both in facing possible litigation and in avoiding litigation.
