Jennifer A. King has become a partner with Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P.

Jennifer A. King has been made a partner with Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P.  Since 2002 when she started at the firm, Ms. King has counseled clients on business and professional disputes in the areas of legal malpractice, medical malpractice, premises liability, and personal injury.  Ms. King's practice also includes pre-litigation counseling, including counseling regarding issues within the health care and legal malpractice arenas.

Ms. King is currently handling cases for leading names in the health care, legal, and insurance industries.   Alongside another Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P. partner, Ms. King recently won a jury verdict in a one-and-a-half week legal malpractice lawsuit.  In addition to her litigation work, Ms. King represents physician groups and hospitals in the areas of policies and procedures, contract disputes, and indemnity issues

Ms. King has been named a Rising Star by Law & Politics and published in Texas Monthly magazine in 2006, 2007, and 2008.  She has contributed to a video presentation for the Arlington Fire Department entitled, "Legal Issues in Providing Emergency Medical Care" and published Recovery for the Death of a Fetus, The State of Texas Law after Parrium, for txhealthlaw.com.

Ms. King earned her J.D, cum laude, in 2001 from Baylor University.  At Baylor, Ms. King was Executive Articles Editor of Baylor Law Review and one of the Top 20 speakers in the Harvey M. Ritchie Moot Court Competition.  She earned her B.A. in 1998 from the University of Texas, where Ms. King was in Pi Sigma Alpha, a National Political Science Honor Society, and the University of Texas Judicial Service Organization.

Ms. King's community involvement includes being a member of the Skyline High School Site Board Decision Making Committee, secretary of the Buckner Terrace Economic Development Committee, vice president of the Enclave at Grove Hill Home Owners Association, as well as being a member and co-chair of several committees of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Dallas Bar Association.
